Point Density

The Point Density parameter defines the number of sample points in the sensor frame of view. A higher value will lead to denser, more detailed data sets but will also use up memory and storage space faster. This will reach the the maximum scan size faster—reducing the floor area that can be covered in a single scan.

The Point Density should be modulated to reflect the geometric and thermal complexity of the surrounding environment. It may be adjusted as needed during a scan.
